Job Summary

lead the development, calibration, and application of hydraulic models for our water supply networks. You will be responsible for analyzing system performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting the design and optimization of pipeline networks across operational regions. This role requires strong technical expertise, familiarity with KSA standards, and a global perspective on best practices in water network modelling.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, calibrate, and maintain hydraulic models of water distribution systems using industry-standard software (e.g., Bentley WaterGEMS, EPANET, InfoWater).
  • Conduct scenario analysis to assess system performance under normal, peak, and emergency conditions.
  • Support design teams by providing modelling insights for new pipelines, network expansions, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Analyze pressure, flow, and water quality data to identify system vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to validate model assumptions and ensure alignment with real-world conditions.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, modelling techniques, and industry trends in water network management.
  • Ensure all modelling work complies with KSA water technical standards and it's internal guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
    OR Masters degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
    Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree.
    Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software (WaterGEMS, EPANET, InfoWater, or equivalent).
    - Experience with GIS integration and data management for modelling purposes.
    - Knowledge of water quality modelling and transient analysis is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working on water projects preferably in KSA or GCC countries, bringing international best practices to the role.
  • Experience with KSA Water technical standards is highly preferred
  • Professional proficiency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken) is a must
