Job Summary
Take full responsibility for the on-site execution of large-scale water infrastructure projects. This role demands a hands-on leader who can ensure projects are built safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while expertly navigating GCC contractual environments and local regulations.
Your Job
- Overall Site Leadership: Direct all on-site construction activities for water pipeline networks, pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities, ensuring strict adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Contract & FIDIC Administration: Serve as the primary company representative for all on-site contractual matters. Expertly administer FIDIC-based contracts (primarily Red/Yellow Book), including managing variations, claims, interim payments, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Contractor & Subcontractor Management: Lead, coordinate, and supervise main contractors and subcontractors. Conduct daily and weekly coordination meetings, monitor progress, and enforce performance standards.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Champion a zero-incident culture. Implement and enforce rigorous site-specific HSE plans, conducting regular audits and ensuring full compliance with NWC and KSA regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance & Control: Establish and maintain stringent QA/QC protocols. Oversee all material inspections, tests, and method statements to ensure construction meets KSA Water Technical Standards and project specifications.
- Planning & Progress Monitoring: Work closely with the Project Manager to develop detailed construction schedules (using Primavera P6/MS Project). Monitor daily progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement recovery plans to mitigate delays.
- Stakeholder & Interface Management: Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, local authorities, and utility companies to resolve site issues and secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Reporting: Provide accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly reports on construction progress, safety, quality, and commercial matters to project and senior management.
Your Profile
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in construction management of heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
- Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with FIDIC contract administration (preparation, interpretation, execution).
- Demonstrated experience working on water projects preferably in KSA or GCC countries, bringing international best practices to the role.
- Experience with KSA Water technical standards is highly preferred
- Professional proficiency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken) is a must
