lead and oversee all engineering functions for major water infrastructure projects. This senior role requires a Principal Engineer-level professional who will ensure all designs, specifications, and construction methodologies meet the highest technical standards, comply with KSA regulations, and incorporate international best practices. You will be the ultimate technical authority within the project delivery team.

Your Job

• • Technical Leadership & Governance: Provide overarching technical direction and governance for multiple water infrastructure projects (pipelines, networks, treatment plants, reservoirs). Act as the Principal Engineer and final technical approver for designs, calculations, and methodologies.
    Engineering Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team (civil, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, environmental). Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    Design Oversight & Compliance: Review and approve all engineering deliverables (drawings, specs, calculations, reports). Ensure 100% compliance with KSA Water Technical Standards, Saudi Building Codes (SBC), environmental regulations, and company technical guidelines.
    Integration of Best Practices: Champion the adoption of international best practices in water engineering (e.g., sustainable design, digital twins, advanced materials) while ensuring localization to the KSA context.
    Technical Problem-Solving: Serve as the highest-level internal consultant for resolving complex technical issues, design conflicts, and construction challenges. Provide authoritative engineering judgments.
    Vendor & Consultant Management: Oversee the technical performance of engineering consultants and equipment vendors. Lead technical bid evaluations and ensure design proposals meet project requirements.
    Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce the project QA/QC plan for engineering activities. Conduct independent design reviews and risk assessments.
    Stakeholder Interface: Represent the company in high-level technical meetings with government authorities (e.g., WTC, SCE), clients, and international experts. Prepare and present technical reports to senior management and boards.
    Value Engineering: Lead value engineering workshops to optimize designs for cost, constructability, operability, and lifecycle efficiency without compromising safety or quality.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, 
• Demonstrated experience working on water projects preferably in KSA or GCC countries, bringing international best practices to the role.
• Experience with KSA Water technical standards is highly preferred
• Professional proficiency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken) is a must
