Job Summary
Responsible for developing and implementing financial and administrative procedures such as financial reporting, payroll, insurance, budget and cost control, accounting functions, contracts, inventory management and control procedures, ERP implementation, legal protection, annual closing, strategic planning, obtaining appropriate financing, and developing the business plan.
Your Job
Financial Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement the companys financial strategy aligned with strategic goals.
Partner with CEO and senior management to hit financial targets and optimize performance.
Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations for key business decisions.
Financial Reporting & Accounting
Oversee accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, payroll).
Manage monthly/quarterly/annual close with accuracy and timeliness.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Deliver accurate, timely financial reports to management, shareholders, and lenders.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans.
Conduct monthly P&L variance analysis with improvement recommendations.
Develop and maintain financial models for project evaluation, planning, and investment analysis.
Treasury & Funding Management
Manage cash flow planning, liquidity, and working capital optimization.
Ensure funds for operations and projects (working capital facilities, DSRA, bank guarantees).
Maintain relationships with banks/financial institutions for optimal financing.
Project Finance & Investment Analysis
Build and maintain financial models for solar energy projects.
Support debt structuring, lender reporting, and financing agreement compliance.
Monitor project financials (CAPEX, O&M costs, revenue projections).
Compliance, Governance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with financial, legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
Establish and maintain internal controls and risk management frameworks.
Coordinate with auditors and address audit findings promptly.
Systems & Process Improvement
Lead ERP implementation/management across the full financial cycle
Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to boost efficiency.
Cash Flow & Budget Management
Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts; manage liquidity.
Track and align budget performance with financial objectives.
Stakeholder Management
Communicate effectively with shareholders, lenders, auditors, and regulators.
Prepare financial presentations/reports for senior management and board meetings.
Your Profile
Education
Bachelor's or Masters degree in finance or a related field.
Experience
- 15 to 20 years of professional experience in Construction, Contracting, or infrastructure project finance, ideally gained within:
- a project finance bank, or
- a corporate group focused on projects.
- Development/financing experience; prior exposure to financing utility projects (e.g., solar, water) is advantageous.
- Computer literacy: strong command of Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems (365/ERP) and reporting tools is essential.
- Excellent proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Experience with letter of credit (LC) and bank guarantees procedures and practices.
- Professional certifications: CMA, CPA, and CFA (all noted as desirable).
Main Requirements
- Exceptional financial modeling capabilities: able to build sophisticated project-finance models from scratch; proven experience using Visual Basic (VB) and macros in MS Excel is a must.
- Knowledge of project finance documentation and hands-on experience with financial close processes, whether as a project developer or as a lender, is essential.
